# Connect NexPay to your AI assistant

Remote MCP server: `https://api.nexpay.com.au/v2/mcp`.

For customers, use OAuth sign-in with their normal NexPay account. Do not ask
for a terminal, JSON configuration, an API key, a password, or a two-factor
code in chat. The NexPay sign-in screen handles authentication.

## Claude

Open Claude settings, find Connectors, and add a custom connector named NexPay
with the server URL above. Leave OAuth client credentials and custom headers
empty. Choose Connect, sign in to NexPay, inspect the requested access, and
approve. Organization administrators may need to enable custom connectors.

Start a new conversation, enable NexPay, and ask "Show my payment-intent status
counts". The server applies the signed-in user’s current record visibility.

## ChatGPT

Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode, then create an app
named NexPay using the server URL above and OAuth authentication. Sign in and
approve the NexPay consent screen. Availability depends on the ChatGPT plan
and workspace permissions. Follow the current official instructions at
https://help.openai.com/en/articles/12584461-developer-mode-and-mcp-apps-in-chatgpt.

## Access and disconnection

The launch catalog reads records, FX rates and API documentation. It cannot
create, submit or cancel payments, request withdrawals, send messages or change
customer records. Detail reads may refresh connector status.

To revoke NexPay access, open the Claude & ChatGPT tile on the NexPay homepage
and disconnect the connection. This invalidates both access and refresh tokens.
Removing a connector from the assistant also stops its use there.

If sign-in fails, sign in at https://app.nexpay.com.au and restart the connection.
If data is empty, check which account is connected and its record permissions;
never imply that an empty page proves there are no records globally.
